At the Beach: Rhyming Sense Poems

At the beach
When we go down to the beach what do you think  we’ll see?
Two little waves washing over me.

When we go down to the beach what do you think we`ll feel?
Slippery slimy eels under our boat eating a big meal.

When we go down to the beach what do you think we`ll hear?
splashing waves and seagulls squawking near.

When we go down to the beach what do you think we`ll taste?
yummy glazed donut covered in fresh strawberry paste.

When we go down to the beach what do you think we`ll smell?

the salty sea and an oyster shell

At the beach

When we go down to the beach
What do you think we’ll see?
Fish flipping,swings swinging,seagulls flying free.
When we go down to the beach
What do you think we’ll hear?
Seagulls in fear, people having beer, men having a big cheer.
When we go down to the beach
What do you think we’ll taste?
Salty air and food going to waste.
When we go down to the beach
What do you think we’ll feel?
Slimy big eels,a back of a big nice cuddly seal.
When we go down to the beach
What do you think we’ll smell?
A big sandy shell and pizza fresh from hell .

  At the beach
When we go down to the beach,
what do you think we’ll see?
Waves crashing, seagulls gliding,
and bees stinging on my knee.

When we go down to the beach,
What  do you think we’ll hear?
Seagulls squawking, children screaming,
and girl’s song ‘cheer’.

When go down to the beach,
what do you think we’ll taste?
Vanilla ice cream, strawberry slushies
and grape scented toothpaste.

When we go down to the beach,
What do you think we’ll feel?n
Warm sun rays, cold water and
Beautiful shells that are really real.

When we go down to the beach,
What do you think we’ll smell?
Sausages sizzling, chicken nuggets toasting
and a disgusting smell from the shell.

ROC Day

On Friday we had ROC Day which means Respecting Our Community.
I did 3 activities which were:
1. Picking up rubbish
2. Using leaves to make flowers (Flax weaving)
3. Play games
My favourite activity was playing games because I played with my group and we were all happy.
Something I found difficult was walking and picking up rubbish  because the sun was very hot and we walked a long way.
Next year I would like to plant the Sunflowers.

On Friday we had ROC Day which means Respecting Our Community.
I did 3 activities which were:
1. A challenge when you had a map and you got to do fun things.
2. We walked to a swampy place and we walked with Miss Steel.
3. We got to go to Room 17 to make a Sun flower plant
My favourite activity was the sunflower activity because we got to decorate the cup to put the soil and the seed in.
Something I found difficult was walking because it was tiring.
Next year I would like to do more activities on ROC Day.

On Friday it was the Middle's ROC Day (Meaning Respecting our Community).  I did three activities, which were lifting up the rainbow parachute. I also did jumping in the big sack or bag. After that, it was morning tea, when I walked to Malborough Park. I got a cicada and I went holding it the whole way to Malbrough Park. I also picked up a big piece of wire and plastic. Then, when it was finished I made a putiputi out of Harakeke - NZ Flax. I made it by winding it to a right angle. My favourite activity was making putiputi. It was my favourite activity because I like winding flax to a right angle. Also I created something I could take home and keep it as a memory of ROC day. Something I found difficult was walking on the stilts because I had to stretch it and walk on it.

At the Beach: A sense Poem

At the beach

When I go down to the beach
I can see the yellow shining sun.
I can hear the pretty shells whistling.
I can taste the cold ice-cream.
I can feel the golden, soft sand between my toes.
I can smell the good food.

At The Beach

When I go to the beach
I can see beautiful and sparkly shells on the hot burning sand.
I can hear seagulls squawking loudly  and waves crashing hard on the rocks.
I can taste the salty water on my lips.
I can feel the fresh water in my hand.
I can smell hot sausages on the

Barbecue cooking.
