Term Two Sport

Over Term Two, we had the amazing opportunity to do lots of different sports taught by lots of outside coaches.

The first was SNAG Golf. We had so much fun working with our coach to learn new skills! This is what some of our class members thought about our golf sessions.

'For physical education we have been learning Golf skills. I have been learning to use the launchers and to get the ball to fly up into the air. My favourite part was shooting the balls in the cones. A skill I need to get better at is using the gold club because I couldn't out my fingers in the coloured spot. I think golf is easy because in golf you don't get out or you don't get a ball.

For physical education we have been learning gold skills. I have been learning to putt with the roller. My favourite part was using the launcher because it was so funny that the ball kept going behind me, A skill I need to get better at is launching because the ball actually rolls. I think golf is hard because in real golf you have to get the ball in the hole and keep it there. This was hard enough!

After Golf, we had the opportunity to take Touch Rugby to learn even more skills.

We have just finished four weeks of Rugby Training. I enjoyed it because when I was VS the dark Blue team (Gunns team) they always dropped the ball.
3 new skills I learned were:
1. Side step so the other team doesn't get me.
2. Plant the ball
3. Catching and passing.
Something I found difficult was catching because I always dropped the ball.

We have just finished four weeks of touch rugby training. I enjoyed it because it was really fun. A new skill I learned was sidestep and dummy passing. Something I found difficult was scoring a try.

We have just finished four sessions of Touch Rugby Training. I enjoyed attackers and defenders and also when we got to wear green bands.
3 new skills I learned were
1. Backward passing
2. Scoring tries
3. Taking turns
Something I found difficult was finding out who to go with my partner  because sometimes I looked behind me and then they were already gone.

What a term for sport!
